John Acorn

(Natural History; Singer-Songwriter)

John Acorn, an Edmonton, Alberta naturalist, is the host of two popular shows on Canadian TV: The Nature Nut, a family show on natural history, and Twits And Pishers, a show about bird watching. For the Nature Nut series, he has composed and recorded a series of songs and ditties that are catchy, folksy, and zany. Kids love them, and you probably will too. This is the only CD in the guide where you will encounter a song--"Joe Snumm, Fish-At-Large"--that was written "as a spontaneous expression of sincere admiration for the purity of fish." Use your kids as an excuse to buy this one for yourself if the title makes you feel self-conscious.
