Jann Arden

(Contemporary; Singer-Songwriter)

Jann Arden, from Calgary, is an immensely popular singer-songwriter who, in the early stages of her career, performed on the folk circuit at venues like the Edmonton Folk Festival. Her atmospheric, moody, love songs are characterized by simple arrangements that bring her expressive voice front and centre. Arden's first two CD's, Time For Mercy and Living Under June appeal to a broad audience. Arden is the recipient of numerous Juno awards, including "Songwriter of the Year" and "Female Vocalist of the Year" in 1995.
