The Bird Sisters of Guelph, Ontario began their career as an a cappella group, later branching into a mix of a cappella and instrument-backed numbers. By their second album, Different Stories (the first was never released on compact disc), they centred their vocal harmonies around original material written by the members of the group: Tannis Slimmon, Sue Smith, and Jude Vadala. The Bird Sisters, with their acoustic guitar work and excellent lyrics, provide melodic listening for anyone who loves tight, three-part harmony.
