Singer-songwriter Shawn Brush, based in Burlington, Ontario, comes from a country/bluegrass background where he has won awards for his excellent guitar work. More recently he has turned to song writing, releasing two albums--The Staircase (cassette-only 1993) and In the Land of Giants (1995). His songwriting, which is more pop- than country/bluegrass-oriented, features his strong voice and catchy arrangements. Brush is an engaging performer who is always a stand-out on festival stages.
