The Toronto band Courage of Lassie is a slightly Celtic-oriented group that blends an eclectic set of folkish lyrics with semi-acoustic instrumentation. Courage of Lassie consists of several people who have been active in the Toronto folk scene for many years, including Ron Nelson, Mady Schenkel, Rod Booth, Rachel Melas, and Jason Fowler. Guest musicians include vocals by Molly Johnson and the late Karen Gamble, to whom the album is dedicated.
