Kick at the Darkness: Songs of Bruce Cockburn demonstrates why tribute albums are scary. While perhaps not the worst of tribute albums on the market, these performances simply do not do justice to the music for anyone weaned on the Cockburn originals. Unless you have a particular interest in one of the artists or groups on this album, save your money for the real thing.
