Moose: the Compilation

(Contemporary; Singer-Songwriter)

Moose: the Compilation was put together by ex-Torontonian Richard Chapman who founded Moose Records in 1989. Originally meant as a vehicle for the bands he was managing, Chapman formed a loose connection of artists with campaigns like "Save the Rails," which saw over thirty musicians tour together through northern Ontario. Moose Records has since disbanded but many of the artists featured on this compilation have since gone on to make their mark.
